Flying: Camelot Macaw “Tusa”

A day trip to VA for us was planned to go freeflying with some friends who have 3 freeflight birds of their own. It was quite the spectacle with all these gorgeous birds flying around in the fields! All the birds that were flown were:

• 2 Blue Throated Macaws
• 2 Camelot Macaws
• 1 Harlequin Macaw
• 1 Congo African Grey
• 2 Rose Breasted Cockatoos (Galahs)

It was a blast and so much fun! I was thrilled that Cressi decided to fly that day since she hasn’t really opted to lately because of molting purposes. But this day she let us know she was ready! And she did great.

You can even see in this photo of her that she is missing some feathers still that are coming in but she still took to the sky and did some long flights of her own!
