Galahs: “Bandit”, “Ace” & “Bondi”
This picture is of Ace on his second day with us. Jason, his previous owner, said he hadn’t bathed in a couple days since being on the road and that he’d probably appreciate a bath. Luckily, Jason took amazing care of Ace before he came to us [...]

Bathing: Umbrella Cockatoo “Linus”
I believe whole-heartedly that you should bathe your bird as often as it wants a bath. Meaning, that you offer it a bath once a day and if it takes you up on it, GREAT! And if it doesn’t, no biggie, maybe next time.

I get asked a lot if I bring my birds in from their outdoor aviaries when it rains. Well, living in Florida, it rains almost every day at the same time and a lot more in the winter. It pretty much rains all the time!
And honestly, it’s a hassle to bring [...]

Bonding with the AC: Rose Breasted Cockatoo “Bondi”
Birds in the wild are very used to getting natural wind drafts. Especially after bathing your bird, it is important you don’t put your bird in the line of a cold draft. This could make your bird very sick just like it would a [...]
